Questions guests ask

Do I need horse riding experience?

Not for Horseback Archery Introduction (3 days) or the Nomadic Cultural Immersion Program. First-time riders never shoot from a horse on their own: a handler leads the horse until our trainers are sure you’re ready. For Horseback Archery Training (5 days) it helps to have ridden before and to be fit for long, active days.

Are programs private?

You can join in two ways. Book a fixed date and train with other guests (each date runs with 4 to 10 people), or bring your own group of 6 or more and choose your dates. Travelling solo or as a couple? Pick a fixed date.

When is the best time to come?

June to September. In July you may also catch a local Naadam festival and horse racing, if one falls on your dates.

Can you cater for my diet?

Yes. Tell us in advance and our yurt restaurant will cook vegan, vegetarian or halal meals.

What equipment is provided?

Everything for archery and riding: bow, arrows, a traditional bow case and quiver, helmet, arm guard, knee and elbow pads, half chaps and trained horses.

Is there internet at the camp?

Yes. All yurts, cabins and the VIP house have Starlink internet.
